On May 23rd, the President of the School of Engineering, Professor Pedro Arezes, received Professor José Rodrigues de Faria Filho, Director of the Niterói School of Engineering of the Fluminense Federal University, Brazil, at the Azurém campus.

The aim of the meeting was to discuss ways of strengthening relations between the two schools and to plan and promote joint activities within the framework of international partnerships.

The Niterói School of Engineering is the largest of the Fluminense Federal University’s schools. UFF was created in 1960 as the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro and is considered one of the main centers of excellence in Brazil, ranking 17th among the best universities in the country according to the Center for World University Rankings (CWUR).
