Angelo Gaetani, Giorgio Monti, Paulo Lourenco and Giancarlo Marcari won the David Fischetti Award from the Association for Preservation Technology International, for an outstanding article that advances the field of conservation engineering: “Design and Analysis of Cross Vaults Along History”.
Angelo was a PhD student from ISISE-Institute for Sustainability and Innovation in Structural Engineering, University of Minho and Sapienza University of Rome, and also attended several SAHC courses.
APT started in 1968 as a joint venture between preservationists in Canada and the United States, and it has now more than 1,500 members in 19 countries.
David Fischetti was a reputed registered Professional Engineer in nineteen US states whose love for art and history helped him to solve complex problems in historic structures.
