On 15th and 16th June, the proofs of Aggregation in the field of knowledge of Computer Science, requested by Dr. Paulo Sérgio Soares de Almeida, took place in the Hall of Acts of the Azurém Campus of the University of Minho, Guimarães, having been unanimously approved.

The jury of the exams had as President Dr. Paulo Jorge Freitas Oliveira Novais, Full Professor of the Department of Computer Science of the School of Engineering of the University of Minho, and as Members Dr. Henrique Santos do Carmo Madeira, Full Professor of the Department of Computer Science of the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the University of Coimbra; Dr. João Manuel Paiva Cardoso, Full Professor of the Department of Computer Science of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto; Luís Eduardo Teixeira Rodrigues, Full Professor of the Computer Engineering Department of the Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) of the University of Lisbon; José Nuno Fonseca de Oliveira, Full Professor of the Computer Department of the School of Engineering of the University of Minho; and Luís Manuel Dias Coelho Soares Barbosa, Full Professor of the Computer Department of the School of Engineering of the University of Minho.

The degree of aggregation is awarded to teaching staff with a professional curriculum of high merit who demonstrate a relevant activity in research, training or advanced supervision, and the authorship of scientific papers of recognized quality after obtaining a doctoral degree.
